Terms & Conditions

You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. Dating is only for adults aged 18 and over. You must give your real birth date.

Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account. One person, one account. No impersonation.

You own what you post. You let us show it inside the app so the service can work. You must not post anything illegal, hateful, sexual involving minors, or anything that infringes someone else's rights. Follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

We don't run background checks. A verified badge only means a person's selfie matched their photos. Be careful when you meet someone in person. Never send money or bank details to someone you've just met.

• Coins are a licence to use features inside Rummate. They are not money and can't be exchanged between accounts except as gifts or room entry fees.
• Prices are shown in naira before you pay. Gifts and room tickets are final once sent.
• Hosts receive 80% of the coins from gifts and tickets, as earnings. Rummate keeps 20%.
• Earned coins can be cashed out at the rate shown on the Earnings page (minimum shown there), to a Nigerian bank account in the host's name. Referral reward coins can't be cashed out.
• We may hold or cancel coins linked to fraud, chargebacks or abuse.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

If Pro is offered, the price and what it includes will be shown before you pay. It lasts for the period you pay for.

We work hard to keep Rummate running, but it is provided “as is.” Rooms, features or the service may sometimes be unavailable.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for what other users say or do, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

You can delete your account at any time in Profile. If we close an account for serious rule-breaking, we may cancel its unspent coins. Earnings that are owed and not linked to fraud will still be paid.

If we make important changes to these terms, we'll tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State will handle any disputes.
